Job description
Role Overview
The Merchandising Execution Area Supervisor role involves leading and overseeing Merchandising Associates to effectively stock, organize, and maintain product displays that enhance customer shopping experiences and optimize inventory flow. Working closely with store leadership, the supervisor ensures merchandising practices comply with company standards and supports promotional activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Merchandising Associates, managing their daily tasks and growth.
- Handle performance evaluations and management for direct reports.
- Collaborate with store management to apply merchandising plans including seasonal resets and special projects.
- Oversee merchandising duties such as restocking, price adjustments and labeling, and displaying signage in line with brand guidelines.
- Ensure all point-of-purchase displays and signage are ordered correctly and align with planograms.
- Guide associates on cross-merchandising efforts per off-shelf merchandising programs.
- Use store technology systems to monitor merchandising performance via key reports.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in retail merchandising or service industry, ideally within large retail environments.
- At least one year of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail ensuring accuracy and quality of work outputs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced retail setting.
- Proficiency with computer and web-based applications.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks involving heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods, and using ladders and lifting equipment.
- Forklift operation experience is advantageous.
Additional Information
- The role requires open availability during the hours of 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
