Material Planner

About the Role

Air Q Limited is seeking a seasoned Material Planner responsible for managing Bill of Materials (BOM)-driven material planning, ordering, availability, and inventory tracking tailored for our Assembly, Integration & Testing (AIT) operations. This role is essential in ensuring seamless material availability according to production schedules, eliminating shortages, and establishing an organized material and job order tracking framework to enable future digital enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage BOM-based material ordering and meticulously plan material availability to support assembly and testing operations.
• Liaise with Procurement teams and suppliers to avoid material shortages and delays in production.
• Continuously track material availability relative to scheduled production activities.
• Detect and resolve deficiencies within current material and job order tracking procedures.
• Keep precise records of materials, stock levels, consumption, and orders.
• Assist in refining and developing superior material tracking processes.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders including Procurement, Planning, Warehouse personnel, and shop floor teams.
• Evaluate material risks proactively and inform the VP of AIT about potential shortages or timeline setbacks.
• Guarantee accuracy in BOM ordering and ensure timely material preparedness.
• Utilize ERP/MRP platforms effectively for material procurement, tracking, and reporting purposes.

Candidate Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent discipline; substantial relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in material planning, supply chain, or production planning preferably within a manufacturing setup.
• Demonstrated expertise with ERP and MRP systems focused on material ordering and inventory monitoring.
• Comprehensive knowledge of BOM-driven material planning methodologies.
• Experience in managing stock consumption tracking and delivering precise material reporting.
• Proven ability in enhancing and designing material tracking processes.
• Excellent coordination abilities across Procurement, Planning, Warehouse, and Production teams.
• Highly attentive to detail and committed to accuracy.
• Strong communication skills facilitating effective stakeholder management.
• A process-driven thinker capable of structuring and systematizing evolving operations.
