Overview
Hexaware Technologies Ltd. is looking for an expert Haskell developer to lead the architecture, development, and delivery of essential software solutions for clients primarily within financial services, technology, and engineering sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, type-safe Haskell systems.
- Develop embedded domain-specific languages (eDSLs) to enhance application functionality.
- Lead client workshops focused on technical and architectural aspects.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to development teams.
- Enforce coding standards and ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Drive contributions to pre-sales and support the organization's Haskell Centre of Excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of eight years working with production-grade Haskell systems in large-scale, operational environments.
- In-depth knowledge of GHC and Haskell's advanced type system features, including GADTs, type families, higher-kinded types, and type-level programming.
- Proficiency in building concurrent systems using STM, async, MVar, and TVar constructs.
- Experience creating eDSLs and developing services utilizing frameworks such as Servant, Yesod, or Scotty.
- Expertise in property-based testing using QuickCheck or Hedgehog, optimizing performance, and managing projects with Stack, Cabal, or Nix tooling.
- Familiarity with the Lens library ecosystem, Docker containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong communication skills capable of explaining complex technical and type-level designs to diverse audiences.
- Solid foundation in computer science, mathematics, type theory, and functional programming concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in quantitative finance or BFSI platforms.
- Experience with Standard Chartered's Mu language and blockchain smart contract platforms such as Cardano/Plutus.
- Knowledge of related functional programming languages like Scala, F#, OCaml, or PureScript.
- Contributions to open-source projects, publications, or presentations at technical conferences are desirable.
