About the Role
We are seeking experienced JavaScript Engineers with a passion for open-source technologies and evaluating Large Language Models (LLMs). This role focuses on maintaining code quality and assessing LLMs' bug-fixing capabilities within trending open-source projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and prioritize issues on GitHub across popular open-source libraries.
- Set up and configure repositories including Docker environments for streamlined development.
- Assess unit test coverage and overall test quality of projects.
- Run and modify open-source codebases locally to evaluate LLM performance in debugging scenarios.
- Work closely with research teams to identify challenging repositories and issues for LLM evaluation.
- Lead and mentor junior developers as part of collaborative project efforts.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Practical, hands-on experience with JavaScript development.
- Proficiency in using Git version control and Docker containerization.
- Familiarity with fundamental software development workflows and environment setups.
- Competence in understanding and navigating complex codebases.
- Comfortable running, debugging, modifying, and testing real-world projects locally.
