Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Backend Engineer to develop and sustain the backend infrastructure that supports our DeFi protocol. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing scalable API endpoints, optimizing database interactions, and ensuring seamless backend communication with blockchain smart contracts.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services utilizing Node.js and TypeScript.
- Create and refine SQL database schemas and queries to enhance performance.
- Design and build APIs and data models using GraphQL.
- Facilitate backend integration with smart contracts through libraries such as Viem or ethers.js.
- Produce well-tested, maintainable code employing Jest or Vitest testing frameworks.
- Work collaboratively with distributed teams to deliver comprehensive product functionality.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in backend software development.
- Advanced proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of SQL database systems and GraphQL for API design.
- Hands-on experience integrating backend services with blockchain networks using Viem or ethers.js.
- Solid understanding of backend testing methodologies.
Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Familiarity with schema validation libraries such as Yup or Zod.
- Experience working with distributed systems is advantageous.
