About the Role
The Associate Manager – Acquisition (Current Account) operates within the Retail Banking sector as a key sales representative. This position focuses on enrolling new savings account customers for a specific branch by engaging directly with clients to identify their banking requirements and providing appropriate product offerings. Alongside acquiring customers, the role supports the Sales Manager by analyzing the target area, collecting customer insights, and spotting new business prospects to fuel the bank’s expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Significantly increase New-To-Bank (NTB) savings account openings within the assigned territory.
- Ensure acquisition quality by targeting an optimal mix of product types, customer profiles, and account structures.
- Encourage customers to register and activate their accounts on digital banking platforms promptly.
- Surpass monthly acquisition goals through strategic assessment of client transactional needs.
- Assist in mapping the customer catchment area and identifying potential business avenues.
- Relay frequent customer feedback and market intelligence to Sales and Relationship Managers.
- Follow organizational sales policies and standard operating procedures rigorously.
- Maintain complete adherence to both internal guidelines and regulatory compliance standards.
Secondary duties include maintaining awareness of market trends, collaborating with branch departments to offer comprehensive customer solutions, and promoting a customer-centric approach through smooth coordination and service excellence.
Candidate Profile
- Applicants must hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Candidates should ideally possess up to four years of sales experience, with a preference for backgrounds in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI).
Key qualities sought include excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, a proactive and customer-oriented mindset, strong collaborative skills, high ethical standards with respect to compliance, sound knowledge of local market behavior, and fluency in English business communication.
