Assistant Manager

Job Overview

The Assistant Manager will operate all restaurant equipment, ensuring smooth daily operations. Key duties include stocking ingredients from delivery to appropriate storage locations such as work areas and walk-in coolers, preparing menu products, and managing telephone orders efficiently.

Core Responsibilities

• Operate all kitchen and restaurant equipment as needed.
• Stock and organize ingredients promptly from delivery to storage areas, including walk-in coolers and work stations.
• Prepare food products according to company standards.
• Handle and process telephone orders with professionalism and accuracy.
• Conduct inventory counts and maintain accurate paperwork associated with inventory management.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and the facility approximately on a daily basis.
• Deliver products to customers by car, navigating various terrains and building types to ensure timely delivery.
• Distribute promotional materials such as flyers and door hangers within the delivery area.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficient with basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) to quickly and accurately calculate figures and make correct monetary change, including the potential use of a calculator.
• Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills to take and process orders efficiently.
• Good motor coordination for rapid and precise movements required in food preparation and order entry.
• Ability to enter orders accurately using a computer keyboard or touchscreen interface.
• Comprehension of written instructions and the ability to convey correct information effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with customers and co-workers both in person and via phone.
• Capable of using navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within a designated delivery area.
• Able to maneuver through challenging delivery environments including multi-story buildings and private residences while carrying food items.
