Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tailor to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily tailoring activities including creating, repairing, and maintaining uniforms, linens, and other garments while complying with company policies and maintaining sewing equipment and workspace cleanliness.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school, diploma, or high school preferred.
• Experience as a Tailor or in a similar role involving sewing machine operation, measuring, repairing, and tailoring staff apparel and guest garments.
• Professional tailoring training and experience, with preference for candidates from the hospitality industry.
• Strong skills in sewing, garment alterations, and finishing.
• Experience working with premium or luxury garments is advantageous.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Proficiency in English is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform timely repairs on uniforms, linens, and upholstery items.
• Sew new uniforms, linens, and upholstery items to company specifications.
• Ensure all uniforms and linens are repaired prior to distribution to staff.
• Measure, create, or alter uniforms for new employees as needed.
• Handle basic alteration requests from guests.
• Notify linen room supervisor to replenish sewing supplies.
• Maintain and repair uniforms for all employees.
• Repurpose discarded linen into reusable items for circulation.
• Organize and keep inventory of all fabric materials.
• Undertake tasks delegated by superiors, including assuming linen/uniform room attendant duties when required.
• Participate in behavioral and vocational training to improve skills and increase versatility.
• Maintain detailed records of daily work performed.
• Ensure the tailoring area is clean and well-organized.
• Share skills and knowledge with other departmental team members.

Salary and Benefits

Offered salary is AED 2500 per month, tax-free.
