Role Overview

The position of Store Manager Candidate involves supporting the daily functions of the store by assisting in supervising employees, managing staffing, overseeing inventory control, merchandising, and providing customer service. This role aims to groom external applicants for future Store Manager responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with employee recruitment, scheduling, and conducting training sessions.
• Participate actively in store merchandising, stock replenishment, and maintaining a neat store presentation.
• Manage inventory processes including addressing damages, markdowns, and maintaining adequate stock levels.
• Ensure precise cash handling protocols, uphold cashier accountability, and maintain overall store security.
• Support the upkeep of store cleanliness, promote safety, and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Take charge of day-to-day operations and act in place of the Store Manager when absent.
• Analyze sales figures, labor costs, and inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for store performance improvement.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and within set deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret documents such as manuals and reports, perform basic arithmetic calculations, and understand inventory and cash management procedures.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with retail best practices, safety standards, and compliance with legal regulations.
• Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma and prior experience in retail; bilingual capabilities are an advantage.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Frequent involvement in standing, walking, bending, and lifting items up to 55 pounds.
• Occasional tasks that involve climbing, driving, and exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• Work environment is typically fast-paced with moderate noise levels.
