Job Summary

This role involves delivering exemplary food and beverage service within the designated workspace, ensuring that professionalism, courtesy, efficiency, and flexibility align with Kempinski Hotels’ standards to boost sales and maximize guest satisfaction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Consistently provide courteous and professional service, setting a standard for colleagues in the assigned outlet.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace and surrounding areas at all times.
• Lead the team to uphold the highest service and setup quality standards continuously.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of all hotel services and products.
• Manage inventory of operating supplies and equipment efficiently to minimize waste and spoilage.
• Execute general cleaning assignments as directed by the Head of Department.
• Promptly report any equipment malfunctions and responsibly handle all operational tools and machines.
• Adhere strictly to hotel policies including fire safety, hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
• Arrive punctually in correct, clean, and well-maintained uniform with appropriate safety footwear and nametag.
• Maintain impeccable personal hygiene and appearance standards at all times.
• Foster positive working relationships with department staff and across the hotel.
• Perform additional reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Department Head, adapting to changes as directed by hotel management.
• Assist with scheduled inventories of products and equipment.
• Clean and wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment in line with established performance standards.
• Ensure proper waste separation and management according to garbage regulations and conduct assigned garbage runs.
• Understand cleaning protocols, effective use of dishwashing machinery, and the chemicals involved.

Skills and Expertise Required

• Previous experience in a stewarding role is essential.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team and perform effectively under pressure, providing logical and proactive solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to forge and maintain productive working relationships with hotel personnel and external clients or vendors.
• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
• Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct consistently.
• Commitment to working safely, prudently, and efficiently in an organized manner.
