A growth mindset is essential, with enthusiasm for full software lifecycle ownership—from planning to deployment and decommissioning. Flexibility in adopting suitable programming tools, predominantly Go but including scripting for certain tasks, is important. The role demands operational experience, particularly with Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Crossplane. Prior platform engineering experience supporting developer teams in cloud environments is required, as is interest or familiarity with observability systems.
