Software Engineer - Modelzoo

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and creative Software Engineer to join our Modelzoo team at NXP Semiconductors in Hyderabad. This position involves developing, optimizing, and deploying machine learning models to advance Kinara Inc.'s AI inference products, directly influencing our hardware and software innovations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and fine-tune machine learning models prioritizing efficient performance on AI processors.
• Maintain and enhance the Modelzoo framework, supporting model conversion, quantization, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate closely with software and hardware teams to integrate models effectively and maximize system performance.
• Analyze model performance to find and resolve bottlenecks.
• Explore and apply new machine learning methods to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Document models, tools, and workflows comprehensively within the Modelzoo.
• Engage in code reviews to uphold code quality and maintainability.
• Keep current with innovations in machine learning, deep learning, and AI hardware technologies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in software development with emphasis on machine learning or deep learning.
• Proficient in Python and experienced with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.
• Strong grasp of ML concepts including model architectures such as CNNs and Transformers, training methods, and evaluation metrics.
• Experience with model optimization approaches including quantization, pruning, and knowledge distillation.
• Knowledge of embedded systems or AI accelerators is advantageous.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.

Additional Information

This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, and requires working onsite as a full-time employee at NXP Semiconductors.
