Software Engineer (Entry-Level)

Overview

This role entails overseeing the continuous functioning and upkeep of Xiaomi's global operations. The engineer will collaborate with research and development teams to architect robust backend systems that facilitate distributed and clustered maintenance solutions, ensuring consistent availability and stability at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and sustain Xiaomi's worldwide service operations, participating in a 24/7 on-call support schedule to promptly identify and rectify online disruptions.
• Collaborate with R&D to build backend architecture supporting distributed and cluster-based maintenance strategies.
• Develop and deploy automation platforms or tools that minimize manual intervention and streamline system management processes.
• Implement technical measures to control operational costs and enhance service management efficiency through optimized tooling and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent practical background.
• Strong expertise with Unix/Linux system operations and proficient in Bash scripting.
• Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP, with knowledge of IPv6 and other networking protocols considered advantageous.
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as C++, GO, Java, or Python, with experience in Linux shell programming.
• Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented mindset; Mandarin Chinese spoken skills are a welcome addition.
• Ability to handle pressure responsibly, demonstrating a strong willingness to learn and innovate continuously.
