About the Role
Join WSP in Riyadh as a Senior Dry Utilities Engineer to lead the technical planning, design, and integration of dry utility systems including power, telecommunications, district cooling, ICT, and street lighting across large-scale projects. This role offers the chance to work on landmark developments, coordinating seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver efficient and compliant utility networks that align with broader infrastructure strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and coordination efforts for dry utilities such as power distribution, telecom infrastructures, district cooling, ICT systems, and street lighting.
- Create comprehensive utility masterplans integrating with overall infrastructure and master planning approaches.
- Collaborate with authorities and service providers to obtain necessary approvals and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Oversee and assess consultant design outputs for quality, precision, and feasibility for construction.
- Coordinate with multiple disciplines to identify and resolve design clashes and optimize utility routing pathways.
- Support and align utility designs with project construction sequencing and project phasing plans.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage technical risks associated with utility design and deployment.
- Provide expert guidance on industry standards, best practices, and emerging technological trends.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- More than 15 years of specialized experience in dry utilities design and coordination for major development projects.
- In-depth understanding of power distribution systems, telecommunication networks, and utility authority regulations.
- Extensive experience in managing complex multidisciplinary project interfaces.
- Excellent abilities in stakeholder communication and coordination.
- Professional certifications or chartership credentials preferred.
