Job Overview

Join a NSW Government-affiliated team responsible for the upkeep and enhancement of road and transport infrastructure in the Gundagai area. This hands-on role involves assisting with road and concrete works as part of a local crew.

Key Responsibilities

• Support in replacing concrete slabs and general road maintenance tasks.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and related equipment effectively.
• Prepare and maintain cleanliness of work sites.
• Handle and transport materials and tools as required.
• Operate safely around roadways, machinery, and equipment.
• Follow guidance and instructions from the Team Leader.
• Conduct daily pre-start procedures and safety inspections.
• Ensure the working environment remains tidy and hazard-free.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a current White Card and Silica Awareness Training certification.
• Worker on Foot (WOF) certificate or willingness to obtain it before starting.
• Valid Australian C Class driver’s license or higher.
• Traffic Controller (TC) ticket or readiness to acquire it.
• Good physical fitness suitable for outdoor manual labor.
• Previous experience in concrete or civil construction is preferred.
• Reliable attitude with a strong emphasis on safety.
• Ability to provide two recent work references.
• Consent to undergo a Police Check.
• Valid Australian work rights; no visa sponsorship available.
