Job Overview

The Registered Nurse role involves delivering exceptional nursing care using evidence-based methods, aimed at improving patients' lives in a healthcare setting. Key Duties

• Carry out initial and continuous health assessments including physical exams, vital signs monitoring, and symptom tracking.
• Create, update, and apply personalized care plans in partnership with healthcare teams.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitoring for any adverse effects.
• Provide wound care including cleaning, dressing, and infection monitoring.
• Assist medical staff during procedures and diagnostic evaluations.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and prevention methods.
• Observe and document changes in patient conditions, promptly reporting significant variations.
• Provide urgent care during medical emergencies.
• Conduct regular patient rounds to ensure their needs are met and care quality is enhanced.
• Follow stringent infection control procedures, including proper use of PPE and handling hazardous materials.
• Participate in infection monitoring to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
• Keep patient equipment and items clean per organizational policies.
• Adhere to emergency protocols such as codes and rapid response team procedures to safeguard patient safety.
• Innovate and apply evidence-based practices to improve patient care outcomes.

Administrative and Support Responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient care documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals for integrated care provision.
• Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during difficult situations.
• Advocate for patient rights, respecting preferences and ensuring their voices are heard.
• Participate in continuous professional education to stay updated on medical advancements.
• Respect cultural diversity, integrating patient values into care plans.
• Supervise junior nursing staff and students, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Identify and address challenges in patient care, contributing to process improvements.
• Perform other nursing duties assigned by management within the role’s scope.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least one year of clinical nursing experience; newer graduates will undergo a residency program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
• Fluent English language skills; Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
• Valid nursing license from country of origin and relevant regional health authority (e.g., SCFHS or DHA).
• Current certifications like BLS, ACLS, and other life support training as applicable.
