Job description
Job Overview
The Project Manager will collaborate closely with Operations, Design, Procurement, Supply Chain, MIS, Real Estate, Lease Administration, and General Administration teams to deliver world-class restaurant projects. This role plays a critical part in New Store Openings, Remodels, and Capital Expenditure initiatives, ensuring projects meet quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with landlords, developers, and the Development department to define project design parameters.
- Conduct Preliminary Site Surveys outlining detailed construction and design requirements alongside project constraints.
- Collaborate with the Design Team throughout the project design phase.
- Evaluate project sites, prepare detailed Feasibility Studies, review Bills of Quantities, and assign vendors accordingly.
- Identify and assess new vendor options.
- Engage with contractors and external consultants to acquire necessary building permits.
- Create and manage construction schedules and timelines.
- Oversee construction initiation and conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress.
- Approve contractor materials based on contracts, specifications, and Bills of Quantities.
- Ensure the project execution aligns with design specifications through liaison with the Design team.
- Arrange signage, furniture, and owner-provided packages by coordinating with approved subcontractors.
- Evaluate interim payments and prepare final payments including additional or variation work assessments.
- Complete construction work and facilitate project hand-over.
- Prepare and address snag lists, ensuring all issues are resolved.
- Monitor maintenance period snags and complaints, releasing retention money only upon successful completion.
Educational Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture is required.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience within the FMCG, Retail, or Restaurant industries.
Knowledge and Competencies
- Capability to plan, organize, and adapt strategies to meet business goals effectively.
- Thorough understanding of building codes, accessibility standards, and life safety regulations.
- Expertise in food and beverage or retail-specific design considerations such as kitchen layouts, display arrangements, and customer traffic flow.
- In-depth knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction techniques tailored to F&B or retail settings.
- Proven strong project management abilities.

- Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously through prioritization.
