Role Purpose
The Planning Specialist will coordinate and oversee labor scheduling for detailed production plans within a round-the-clock production environment. Working closely with the Operations Team, they aim to reduce production time and costs while optimizing resource use and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analyses to determine labor needs for medium to long-term planning horizons.
- Ensure delivery of appropriately skilled personnel while adhering to Working Time regulations across multiple business units.
- Lead change management initiatives related to labor planning processes.
- Possess technical acumen in business systems to assist with system testing, troubleshooting, and process mapping.
- Manage reporting activities, highlighting achieved metrics and necessary actions.
- Oversee weekly payroll data for supply staff, including worked hours, skill set breakdowns, and various absence types for both agency and internal personnel.
- Maintain comprehensive staff records accurately.
- Review and control Working Time Directive compliance through mid and long-term planning.
- Perform monthly audits to ensure operational standards.
- Coordinate logistics transport requirements effectively.
- Manage accommodation arrangements and staffing levels in collaboration with recruitment and third-party agencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the company.
Essential Requirements
- Proficient oral and written English communication.
- At least 3 years' experience in a labor planning capacity.
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
- Quick learner with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication, including professional telephone etiquette.
- Flexibility to work any five days within a seven-day rotating schedule, including potential additional hours outside normal shifts to meet business needs.
- Team-oriented attitude.
- Proficiency with PC, email, and Excel software.
Desirable Qualifications
- Valid transport license CPC is advantageous.
Working Hours and Conditions
Minimum 40 hours per week in a full-time, permanent role within a 24/7 operational setting.
