Pipe Fabricator

Position Overview

We are currently looking to hire an experienced and meticulous Pipe Fabricator to become a key member of our technical operations team. The role involves the precise selection, measurement, cutting, threading, bending, and assembly of piping systems and structural elements according to detailed isometric blueprints and strict industrial safety norms.

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex isometric drawings, piping layouts, weld maps, and blueprints to determine exact dimensions, material needs, and assembly order.
• Accurately measure, mark, and position pipes and related components ensuring alignment, proper angles, and adherence to project specifications prior to welding.
• Operate industrial cutting and preparation equipment such as torches, plasma cutters, saws, bevelers, and grinders to shape piping materials.
• Handle safely a variety of piping materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and galvanized pipes.
• Carry out tack welding to temporarily secure components, ensuring structural stability before final welding procedures.
• Conduct quality inspections using precision instruments like calipers, gauges, and tape measures and follow strict safety protocols including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) and PPE usage.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma, Technical School Certificate, or an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certification specializing in Pipe Fabrication, Structural Fitting, or Mechanical Trades.
• Preferred Certifications: Industry-recognized credentials such as Aramco approval or TUV certification are advantageous.
• Experience: At least five years of documented experience as a Pipe Fabricator in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Heavy Industrial Construction.

Technical Skills and Abilities

• Expertise in interpreting intricate isometric drawings and mechanical schematics.
• Proficient use of fabrication hand tools, shop machinery, and measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with welding symbols, joint types, and standard piping codes (ASME/ANSI).
• Strong spatial awareness, mathematical aptitude for angle and offset calculations, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Basic English language skills sufficient to comprehend and communicate technical instructions.
