Job Overview
We are seeking a Pharmacy Dispenser to join our store pharmacy team. In this role, you will be integral to the daily operation, supporting the pharmacist and healthcare team to ensure pharmacy services are delivered safely and efficiently. The position is based within the store, requiring UK-based applicants with valid work authorization and relevant qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions ensuring safe medicine supply.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in-store to manage and deliver pharmacy services effectively.
- Provide patients with informed advice regarding medicines and direct queries to the pharmacist as needed.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain legal and safe dispensing practices.
- Stay informed about new store innovations and comply with operational processes.
- Assist patients in managing their prescriptions efficiently, promoting adherence and minimizing waste.
- Engage with evolving technologies to enhance dispensing processes, improve patient safety, and allow more patient interaction.
Requirements
- Completed Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 qualification or equivalent, or currently pursuing with completion of the first year of an MPharm degree.
- Possess a valid UK right to work; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visa is not available for this role.
Desirable
- Previous experience working within community pharmacy is advantageous.
