Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Learning & Development Manager to lead and execute the overall learning and development strategy at a luxury hotel. This role encompasses planning annual training schedules, managing onboarding programs, developing leadership and career growth initiatives, and ensuring alignment with international brand standards and service quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and implement the hotel-wide Learning & Development strategy.
- Create, operate, and evaluate annual training plans.
- Organize orientation and onboarding programs for new hires.
- Design and manage leadership, management, and career development training sessions.
- Administer and promote adherence to IHG brand standards and mandatory training requirements.
- Collaborate with department heads to analyze training needs and draft development plans.
- Plan and deploy initiatives aimed at enhancing colleague engagement through learning and development.
- Support development efforts aligned with performance management and succession planning.
- Manage and analyze training data and generate reports.
- Partner with internal and external training institutions and educational collaborators.
- Support internship and industry-academia cooperative program planning and management.
- Understand and apply Forbes Travel Guide service standards by coordinating training across departments, facilitating certification maintenance, and driving service quality improvements.
- Foster a service culture befitting a luxury hotel to elevate guest experiences.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary will be determined based on skills and experience, following organizational guidelines and interview outcomes.

Qualifications
- Practical experience in Learning & Development or Training within the hotel or hospitality sector.
- Prior management experience is preferred.
- Experience in designing, organizing, and facilitating training programs.
- Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Passion for talent development and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Forbes Travel Guide and luxury service standards, or willingness to learn.
