Job description

About the Role

Process Panda seeks a commercially savvy Lead Project Manager to head our Project Management practice and ensure the successful delivery of SaaS implementation projects. This role is hands-on, overseeing projects from initiation through to go-live, while enhancing our delivery methodology, governance, tools, and working practices.

Collaborating with consulting, resource, and engagement teams, you will ensure projects are executed efficiently, predictably, and with commercial discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and refine the Project Management practice for best delivery approaches.
  • Oversee customer projects from planning and start through to successful go-live.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Maintain rigorous commercial control over scope, effort, and project expenditure.
  • Identify risks, delays, and added efforts promptly and implement corrective measures.
  • Handle change requests, ensuring any work beyond agreed scope is acknowledged and managed.
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder communications.
  • Deliver clear reporting, schedules, risk registers, and governance documentation.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships and handle challenging delivery or commercial discussions confidently.
  • Mentor and support team members involved in project execution.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess 5 to 10 years’ experience in Project Management, preferably with technology or SaaS implementations.
  • Experience working vendor-side or in Professional Services delivering external customer projects.
  • Strong commercial insight, understanding scope, effort, utilization, and profitability links.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and negotiation capabilities.
  • Effective multi-project, priority, and deadline management skills.
  • Proficient in project governance and reporting practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and/or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Motivated to lead and enhance the Project Management practice and delivery standards.

Certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or AgilePM are highly valued. Experience implementing SaaS, ITSM, or Enterprise Service Management platforms is beneficial.

Success Metrics

  • Projects progress with clear leadership, accountability, and momentum.
  • Active management of scope, budgets, and project burn rather than reactive reporting.
  • Early identification and escalation of risks and issues preventing major problems.
  • Clear understanding among customers and internal teams of roles and responsibilities.
  • Consistent, scalable, and predictable Project Management methodologies.
  • Consulting teams effectively deliver excellent customer outcomes while maintaining financial discipline.

Why Join Process Panda?

This position offers genuine ownership of the Project Management practice, unlike inheriting pre-established processes. Collaborate with an experienced technology consulting team delivering Enterprise Service Management solutions across Australia, influencing continuous improvement and scaling of delivery capabilities.

We provide a competitive salary, a supportive team environment, and the chance to make a significant impact on customers and company operations.
