Java Full Stack Developer – Java & Angular

About the Role

EPAM Systems is seeking a skilled Java Full Stack Developer specializing in Java and Angular to assist in migrating the front-end interface of our portware trading platform from Java Swing to Angular, and to enhance backend Java systems. You will work directly on-site at our Hyderabad office, collaborating closely with the product and client teams to deliver an improved experience for institutional trading clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Allocate approximately 70% effort to backend development in Java, and 30% to Angular-based front-end enhancements.
• Develop and modify backend components in Java to facilitate the front-end migration and add new platform capabilities.
• Participate in migrating user interface elements from Java Swing to Angular, ensuring alignment with backend logic and robust application performance.
• Cooperate with other teams to accurately gather business requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
• Interact with financial services clients for requirements gathering, feedback incorporation, and solution updates.
• Create clean, maintainable, and well-documented source code in accordance with industry best practices.
• Thoroughly test and debug code, confirming that migrated features meet specified performance and functional standards.
• Identify and resolve any application performance issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including migration strategies, technical design documentation, and user instructions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• At least 5 years of hands-on professional development with Java back-end and Angular front-end frameworks, evidenced by a strong portfolio.
• Expertise in Java and Angular (TypeScript), including experience working with RESTful APIs.
• Previous project experience migrating solutions from legacy technologies (such as Java Swing) to modern front-end frameworks is highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical ability and a methodical approach to solving intricate technical issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for engaging both technical and business stakeholders.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively as part of a development team and foster a productive workplace.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Java programming or Angular development are a plus.

Additional Information

• This is an on-site role based in Hyderabad.
• No remote work arrangement is available for this position.
