Enterprise Architect – Infrastructure & Cloud (m/f/d)

As an Enterprise Architect, you will be instrumental in orchestrating the digital transformation efforts of leading companies. Your role will involve crafting resilient target architectures, translating business strategies into scalable technology roadmaps, and overseeing complex transformation programs.

You will act as a trusted advisor to executives and management, combining technical excellence with business insight to ensure architectural decisions deliver tangible business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage comprehensive enterprise and business architectures.
• Lead strategic transformation programs on the client side.
• Provide executive-level consulting and facilitate strategic decision-making processes.
• Coordinate complex stakeholder structures across business units and management levels.
• Collaborate actively with program and account management for sustainable client development.

Detailed Duties

• Strategic Architecture Leadership: Analyze existing IT landscapes and develop holistic target and transition architectures aligned with business goals, security standards, and compliance requirements.
• Transformation & Roadmap Management: Derive prioritized transformation initiatives from structured gap analyses and plan and manage sophisticated migration and modernization programs.
• Cloud & Platform Strategy: Design scalable cloud, hybrid, or on-premises architectures, including integration and platform strategies such as API-first and event-driven architectures, while developing sustainable operating models.
• Architecture Governance & Standards: Establish binding architectural principles, reference architectures, and governance frameworks, and moderate architecture boards and strategic decision-making forums.
• Executive Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a sparring partner for management and business units by translating business requirements into viable IT strategies and contributing proactively to the sustainable evolution of strategic client relationships.

Qualifications

• Several years of architectural experience with responsibility for complex IT or cloud transformation initiatives.
• Strong expertise in cloud architectures (public, private, hybrid) and comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure, applications, security, integration, and governance.
• Experience in technical team leadership and decision-making across projects and programs.
• Confident presence in client settings with the ability to analyze requirements systematically and translate them into feasible target architectures.
• Proficiency in architectural and governance frameworks such as TOGAF and ITIL.
• Fluent in both German and English, capable of negotiation-level communication.
