Job description
Role Overview
This position involves driving and enhancing Singapore's defence technology partnerships with designated countries or agencies, encompassing both governmental and industry-related engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate collaboration and engagement with partner nations on acquisition programs, R&D initiatives, and new technological developments
- Organize and oversee bilateral visits, meetings, and conferences locally and abroad
- Monitor and analyze geopolitical, security, and technological trends and changes
- Provide strategic advice to MINDEF leadership regarding potential impacts and opportunities related to defence technology cooperation
Challenges
- Maintaining current awareness of fast-changing geopolitical, security, and technological conditions
Candidate Profile
- Educational background preferably in Science, Engineering, Political Science, International Relations, History, or related disciplines
- Experience in defence acquisition, technology, or systems management is beneficial
- Strong analytical abilities and communication skills essential to effectively guide leadership decisions
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure in a dynamic work setting
