Business Development Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic thinker passionate about cultivating relationships to join our team as a Business Development Associate. This role involves leveraging industry expertise to assist the pursuit team in securing new projects that propel our company's growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operational Business Development leadership to align pursuit strategies with corporate objectives.
• Participate in industry outreach and networking events to establish local contacts and uncover potential project opportunities.
• Maintain and strengthen professional relationships to promote the company.
• Work closely with Business Development leadership to evaluate teaming partners for project suitability.
• Develop capture plans and supporting documents for critical opportunities.
• Identify and engage key internal personnel and subcontractor partnerships to support pursuit initiatives.
• Draft and prepare responsive Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) submissions.
• Maintain accurate pursuit tracking and business development activities in the CRM system.
• Manage and organize the CRM database, providing regular updates to Business Development leadership.
• Oversee the creation and collection of proposal documentation throughout pursuit stages to ensure quality and completeness.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in business development or related roles within construction, engineering, or design firms.
• Ability to identify, prioritize, organize, and track construction projects effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster industry relationships.
• Proven leadership capabilities to rally internal teams and advance business development initiatives while prioritizing client needs.
• Familiarity with business AI tools and design software such as InDesign and Adobe Illustrator is advantageous.
• Capability to perform well in deadline-driven environments with a focus on quality.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
