About the Role
We are seeking two skilled Application Support Engineers to strengthen our Production Support team based in Bengaluru. These positions require working exclusively from the office and focus primarily on ensuring the stability and health of critical enterprise systems. The role demands expertise in PL/SQL, Java debugging, and MongoDB to efficiently diagnose and resolve complex technical incidents, coordinating closely with engineering teams to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee L2 and L3 incident and problem management by monitoring application health, system alerts, and logs to detect and address anomalies proactively.
- Act as the principal technical contact for resolving critical production issues within defined SLA timelines following established incident management protocols.
- Conduct post-incident reviews, document detailed post-mortems, and collaborate with development teams to implement permanent resolutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug Java applications to identify runtime errors, memory leaks, and exceptions.
- Optimize and execute complex PL/SQL queries and scripts to rectify data inconsistencies in relational databases.
- Manage NoSQL database operations, specifically analyzing and querying MongoDB collections.
- Coordinate with global engineering, DBA, and infrastructure teams during critical event resolution.
- Assist in troubleshooting data pipelines and gain exposure to cloud platforms like Snowflake.
- Maintain and update operational documentation such as runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge bases.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Experience: Between 3 to 5 years in application support, production support, or technical operations roles.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth experience with PL/SQL, Java code debugging, and MongoDB database management.
- Operational Knowledge: Solid understanding of enterprise incident management processes, ticketing tools, and SLA adherence.
- Additional Skills: Familiarity or hands-on experience with cloud data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake is advantageous.
