Job description
Role Overview
Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Company is in search of a seasoned Application Developer to join their IT Application Division located in Ras Al Khair, Eastern Saudi Arabia. The selected candidate will report directly to the IT Application Manager and will be entrusted with the development of scalable backend services and APIs to support production systems, enterprise integrations, and facilitate real-time data management across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, create, and support backend applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs for system integrations involving ERP, MES, and external third-party platforms.
- Maintain high standards for API performance, security, and scalability.
- Develop and fine-tune SQL queries, build stored procedures, and optimize database architecture.
- Convert manufacturing business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Ensure backend services are integrated with front-end applications and other external systems seamlessly.
- Facilitate integration of MES and ERP systems with Level 2 automation systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to applications, APIs, and database operations.
- Engage in code review processes and promote adherence to best programming practices.
- Create and maintain thorough API documentation in compliance with Swagger and OpenAPI specifications.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar fields.
- Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
- Expertise in Java (version 8 or later).
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
- Strong background in designing and using RESTful APIs.
- Comprehensive understanding of API security protocols, such as JWT and OAuth, including authentication and authorization techniques.
- Advanced SQL proficiency including join operations, indexing, and query optimization strategies.
- Experience working with relational database systems like SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
- Knowledge of JSON format, HTTP protocol, and familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman and Swagger.
- Proficient with version control systems, primarily Git.
