Utilizing advanced technologies like UV light Cured in Place (CIPP) lining for lateral, spot repair, and mainline applications, they primarily serve municipal and provincial sanitary sewer and storm pipe relining projects. Their services also extend to residential and industrial gravity and pressure pipe solutions, including robotic and manual repairs, inspections, and cleaning. The company is an authorized installer and partner for Channeline, CentriPipe, Permaform, and Primus Line.
Role Overview
The company is seeking Traffic Controllers to join their team, supporting CCTV Pipeline Inspection, Jet Vac operations, Pipeline Rehabilitation, and UV Lining efforts. Traffic Controllers will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of traffic flow at job sites. By contributing to underground infrastructure projects, employees help enhance the reliability and longevity of essential sewer and stormwater systems while minimizing environmental impact.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with crews to facilitate successful cleaning, repair, and rehabilitation of sewer and drainpipes.
- Manage and direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic within construction and roadwork zones.
- Install and maintain temporary traffic control devices such as signs, cones, and barricades as necessary.
- Communicate continuously with team members and supervisors using radios or other devices.
- Safeguard the smooth and safe movement of traffic through designated areas.
- Load, transport, and unload materials and equipment to and from job sites.
- Assess job sites to determine the most efficient methods for completing tasks.
- Follow Corporate Health & Safety and Environmental policies rigorously.
- Keep equipment and tools clean, maintained, and in safe working order.
- Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and effectively.
- Physically perform tasks including lifting 30-50 pounds and other demanding activities.
- Work effectively as a cooperative team member.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Holding safety certificates is advantageous.
- Experience in plumbing and electrical work is beneficial.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety by complying with corporate health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a varied work environment.
- Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license is mandatory.
