Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Technical Trainer specializing in Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) to educate and guide the client’s data engineering and platform teams. This role emphasizes practical technical training combined with advisory services to enhance operational, security, and optimization capabilities of on-premises Cloudera/DAMP environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct both in-person and virtual Cloudera technical training sessions inclusive of hands-on labs.
- Customize training content and exercises based on the client’s unique CDP/DAMP environment.
- Organize technical workshops, conduct assessments, and provide follow-up coaching.
- Teach core technologies including Cloudera CDP, DataFlow/NiFi, Kafka, Flink, Spark, CDE, CDW, Iceberg, Ozone, security and governance frameworks, and Cloudera AI tools.
- Set up and maintain training and lab environments, including those within restricted or air-gapped network settings.
- Offer advisory support post-training sessions focusing on configurations, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Monitor trainee progress, manage training credits, and assess certification preparedness.
- Help prepare candidates ready for Cloudera certification exams.
- Deliver regular updates on progress and skills gaps to both delivery managers and the client.
Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum of five years practical experience with Cloudera and Hadoop in production environments.
- Proficiency in Spark, NiFi, Kafka, Hive/Impala, and HDFS/Ozone administration and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on expertise with on-premises Cloudera deployment management and problem resolution.
- Comprehensive understanding of platform security, including authentication, authorization, encryption, auditing, and governance.
- Demonstrated capability in delivering technical training, workshops, and hands-on labs.
- Excellent English communication skills; fluency in Arabic is highly advantageous for delivery in Saudi Arabia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current certifications in Cloudera technologies.
- Accredited Cloudera instructor or experience working with recognized training partners.
- Experience in sectors such as government, defense, banking, aviation, or other environments requiring heightened security.
- Familiarity with air-gapped or restricted network environments.
- Knowledge of MLOps, Generative AI, and Cloudera AI technologies.
- Experience in creating technical lab exercises and training materials.
