Job description
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend codebases to support scalable applications.
- Create and enhance microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
- Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality.
- Perform thorough code reviews to maintain standards and support team quality.
- Adhere to industry best practices including continuous integration, code reviews, and comprehensive testing.
- Engage actively in SCRUM rituals and collaborative agile development processes.
- Contribute to project estimation and sprint planning activities.
- Guide junior developers and coordinate effectively with peer teams.
- Demonstrate aptitude for reading, understanding, and integrating existing codebases.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Have at least 5 years of proven experience in software development.
- Solid hands-on expertise in Java programming, specifically with Spring Boot and microservices frameworks.
- Strong understanding of API development and microservices design principles.
