Job description
Role Overview
As a Senior Software Developer, you will lead the technical development of a comprehensive multi-tenant ERP platform covering Procurement, Accounting, Human Resources Management (HRM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Service Operations, and third-party API integrations. This position holds responsibility for the entire software development lifecycle, including database design, backend and frontend implementation ensuring excellent standards in quality, scalability, and functional accuracy. You'll own feature delivery end-to-end, encompassing design, development, testing, documentation, and release readiness. While production deployments are executed by the Managing Director, you will prepare deployment packages, maintain detailed technical documentation, and perform structured handovers for each release.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complete features across all layers: database schema, migrations, server API endpoints, and Vue.js front-end interfaces.
- Review and design updates to a complex database system consisting of roughly 250 tables, 79 views, and 89 migrations, ensuring accuracy and backwards compatibility.
- Ensure strict multi-tenant data isolation by correctly scoping all queries by tenant, company, and branch to prevent cross-customer data access.
- Maintain and enhance the role-based permission system with granular read, edit, delete, and post levels enforced on both client and server sides.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, including views, and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Prepare release candidates by building, testing, documenting changes and database steps, then coordinate handover to the Managing Director for deployment.
- Keep comprehensive technical documentation updated, covering setup procedures, migration notes, and known issues.
- Eliminate remaining dependencies on third-party services (email, SMS, queuing, document storage) by migrating from cloud hosting to on-premises infrastructure.
- Mentor and review code from the Junior Developer, explaining corrections and progressively transferring module ownership.
