Key Responsibilities

• Partner with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to convert raw data into insightful, actionable business intelligence.
• Contribute within a dynamic, product-focused team to build and deliver enterprise-grade software products.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications characterized by scalability and low latency.
• Optimize software for maximum speed, efficiency, and quality.
• Write clean, maintainable, and test-friendly code.
• Develop and implement robust RESTful APIs.
• Continuously enhance engineering practices and work across the full technology stack.
• Design and build data pipelines using technologies like Apache Spark or Google Data Pipelines.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in product-based software organizations.
• A strong background of 5 to 8+ years in developing cloud-native microservices using Java, Groovy, Spring Boot, and various SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on expertise with Spring framework variants including Spring Security.
• Experience in developing distributed, scalable Java applications.
• Knowledge of distributed event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, or NoSQL databases.
• Capability to build well-documented, easy-to-consume REST APIs with specification-by-example testing.

Preferred Additional Skills

• A breadth of technical skills across the full stack is highly encouraged, especially a passion for cross-functional development.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Istio, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, and data pipeline construction.
• Understanding of optimal deployment strategies for Big Data infrastructures.
• Collaborate effectively with DevOps and Test Automation teams to enhance developer workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
