Role overview

This position is for a Python Developer based in Singapore. The role focuses on building and integrating data-driven systems, supporting business needs across infrastructure and other technology groups, and contributing to secure, scalable, high-performance data processing solutions.

Key responsibilities

Partner with multiple technology teams, including infrastructure and other business units, to deliver workable system solutions.
Take part in development and system integration work for relevant platforms, including CDP and CDSW.
Apply hands-on Big Data and Python expertise to design and implement secure, scalable, high-performance data pipelines.
Prepare design, build, and implementation documentation for owned deliverables and present them when required.
Maintain effective working relationships with users and stakeholders while managing expectations clearly.

Requirements

The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline along with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Strong knowledge of the Cloudera ecosystem, including CDP and CDSW.
Practical experience with data security and access control using Ranger and Atlas.
Working knowledge of Hadoop, Hive, and Spark/PySpark architecture.
Experience with Python web application frameworks such as Django.
Ability to use shell scripting for automation and troubleshooting technical issues.
Background in the financial sector is preferred, especially work involving core data science on the Cloudera platform using Python.
Exposure to data science projects and understanding of global markets products, pricing components, market data analytics, and risk factors affecting product pricing.
Experience using Cloudera Manager to monitor Hadoop services.
Solid Hadoop administration knowledge, including Hive, Impala, Kafka, and Zookeeper.
Capability to work in a techno-functional capacity, analyzing business issues and recommending process or functional improvements.
Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
