Job Summary
We seek an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer with over six years of practical experience specializing in database development. The role involves creating, optimizing, and maintaining comprehensive Oracle database systems and PL/SQL modules tailored to customer applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and upkeep PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers within Oracle databases.
- Craft intricate SQL queries for extracting, transforming, and reporting data.
- Design database architectures aligned with application demands.
- Enhance performance by optimizing SQL and PL/SQL code.
- Investigate and resolve database issues affecting operations.
- Ensure data integrity through rigorous validation.
- Assist application development by supporting database components and enhancements.
- Review existing database scripts to implement improvements.
- Engage in code reviews adhering to best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Manage production troubleshooting and conduct thorough root-cause analyses.
- Document technical details of database elements comprehensively.
- Facilitate deployments and manage database changes across environments.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum six years of applied Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
- Proficiency in SQL and deep understanding of Oracle database principles.
- Expertise in Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Cursors, and Exception Handling.
- Experience with SQL query optimization and performance tuning.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to deliver solutions on real client projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle database performance enhancement and indexing strategies.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration techniques.
- Skills in Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- Exposure to Agile software development methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of Java or other backend languages is advantageous.
