Lead Engineer – Valve Testing & Calibration

Gray Mackenzie Engineering Services is an expanding third-party provider based in Qatar, specializing in equipment calibration such as PRVs, PSVs, pressure gauges, transmitters, alongside valve testing, overhauling, and maintenance through dedicated workshop facilities.

Role Overview

This position is for an experienced Lead Engineer to supervise and lead the Valve Testing & Calibration division, ensuring quality, compliance with international standards, operational excellence, and fostering business expansion within Qatar's Oil & Gas industry.

Key Duties

• Supervise and lead the testing and overhaul processes for control valves, mechanical valves, PRVs, NRVs, PSVs, and other process plant valves.
• Oversee valve overhauling and overall workshop operations to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Ensure all work adheres to relevant standards including API, ASME, ISO, and client-specific requirements.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients and operational teams.
• Analyze Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and contribute to proposal development.
• Promote business growth through involvement in shutdowns, turnarounds, and securing long-term service agreements.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a skilled technical team to enhance performance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (compulsory).
• At least 15 years of professional experience in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Extensive expertise in valve testing and workshop management.
• Experience working in the Middle East is mandatory, with preference given to candidates with Qatar experience.
