Job Overview
We seek a seasoned Java Spring Boot Microservices Developer with 9 to 15 years of professional experience in architecting, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise-grade applications. The candidate will demonstrate advanced skills in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, cloud platforms, and system design.
Key Responsibilities
- Create scalable, high-performance applications using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Develop and maintain microservices-based systems.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and integration points.
- Contribute actively to High-Level and Low-Level architectural design discussions.
- Lead architectural decision-making and implement technical solutions.
- Optimize application performance while ensuring security compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Guide junior developers through mentorship and code reviews.
- Analyze and troubleshoot production issues, performing root cause investigations.
- Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines following DevOps best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficient with Java versions 8, 11, 17, and 21.
- Extensive knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
- Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and related design principles.
- Strong expertise in RESTful APIs, API Gateway, and service discovery mechanisms.
- Experienced in ORM frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA.
- Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
- Solid database skills working with SQL and NoSQL databases including Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Understanding of design patterns, object-oriented design principles, multithreading, and concurrency concepts.
- Experience in Agile development methodologies.
Cloud and DevOps Competencies
- Expertise in AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
- Proficient with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code practices is a plus.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience with Spring Cloud ecosystem.
- Familiarity with gRPC and Protocol Buffers.
- Knowledge of security protocols including OAuth2, JWT, Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Working experience with Redis and Elasticsearch.
- Exposure to OpenShift platform.
- Experience integrating Generative AI or AI technologies.
- Front-end exposure with React.js or Angular frameworks.
