Full Stack Engineer - KYC Technology (Fully Remote)

About the Team

Join the Know Your Customer (KYC) Technology team at Binance as we transform the onboarding process. We're creating an advanced platform to streamline customer onboarding by launching cutting-edge products, integrating compliance vendors worldwide, and responsibly leveraging AI and machine learning technologies. Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and sustain scalable backend systems and APIs focused on KYC verification, identity authentication, and compliance workflows.
• Lead the design and deployment of robust distributed systems capable of handling millions of user verification requests internationally.
• Construct and refine risk evaluation pipelines and case management tools to support compliance operations.
• Create and maintain internal tools and dashboards primarily using backend engineering, but occasionally working with React and TypeScript.
• Design RESTful APIs and microservices integrating with third-party KYC/AML vendors and internal data sources.
• Participate actively in architectural and technical design decisions, emphasizing backend engineering, data processing, AI integration, and security.
• Enhance system reliability, performance, and observability while boosting engineering efficiency with automation and standard best practices.
• Write maintainable, clean, and well-tested code, and perform thorough code reviews.
• Continuously optimize system performance, ensuring scalability, throughput, and improving developer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in software development with a specialization in backend technologies.
• Proficient backend development skills using Java (Spring Boot), Go, or similar frameworks.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML models or large language model (LLM) powered tools in production, including model serving, inference pipelines, or AI-assisted automation.
• Strong background in designing and implementing scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, caching mechanisms, message queues, and fundamentals of distributed systems.
• Fluency in both English and Mandarin to facilitate collaboration with international partners and stakeholders.
