About the Role
Join Boots UK as a Dispenser, an integral member of the pharmacy team working within one of our physical stores in the UK. You will assist pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure pharmacy and healthcare services are delivered safely and efficiently. This role involves direct interaction with patients, dispensing prescriptions, and advising on medicines to support their health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately while ensuring the safe supply of medications including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and prescription collection.
- Collaborate with store healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services effectively.
- Offer care and guidance about medication and refer patient queries to the Pharmacist when needed.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to guarantee safe and lawful dispensing practices.
- Stay updated with new store innovations and comply with operational protocols.
- Help patients manage their prescriptions reliably, encourage medicine adherence, and reduce waste.
- Engage with emerging technologies that enhance traditional dispensing processes to improve patient safety and free up time for patient interaction.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Completion of the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent, or currently progressing with at least one year completed towards an MPharm degree.
- Eligible to work in the UK with a current valid right to work; this role does not sponsor Skilled Worker Visas.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.

Compensation
