Director, Mechanical Engineering

Position Summary

We are actively seeking a seasoned Director of Mechanical Engineering to join our expanding Singapore office. The individual will spearhead the design and execution of significant building services projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the mechanical engineering design process and ensure successful project completion.
• Provide technical guidance and uphold quality standards across projects.
• Engage with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders to maintain strong collaborative relationships.
• Coach and nurture the growth of engineering personnel within the team.
• Contribute to business growth by supporting proposal preparations and project pursuits.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or an allied field.
• Have at least 10 years of professional experience in mechanical building services consultancy.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) systems, including Chilled Water Systems, Air Handling Units (AHU), Fan Coil Units (FCU), Variable Air Volume (VAV) Systems, and Ventilation Systems; Fire Protection; and Plumbing & Sanitary systems.
• Track record of successfully managing medium to large-scale building projects.
• In-depth understanding of Singapore's building codes, regulations, and authority submission processes.
• Experience leading engineering teams and maintaining client relationships.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Singapore.
