Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a proficient Automation Testing Engineer with six to eight years of software quality assurance experience, including at least three years dedicated to automation testing. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to uphold the highest software quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, sustain, and run automated tests employing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or comparable frameworks.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage aligned with requirements.
- Design and manage testing frameworks applicable to web, API, or mobile platforms.
- Interpret test outcomes, document defects, and ensure their resolution through tools like JIRA and TestRail.
- Conduct regression testing for every software release to guarantee delivery quality.
- Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Maintain detailed test documentation, test data, and controlled testing environments.
- Engage in code reviews providing insights from a testing perspective.
Required Skills and Experience
- 6 to 8 years of experience in software QA with a minimum of 3 years focusing on automation testing.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on expertise with automation frameworks and tools including Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright, or REST-assured.
- Experience in API testing using Postman or similar automated tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
- Strong knowledge of QA methods and software testing best practices.
