About the Role

DHL Express is offering a permanent position for a Courier based in Leeds, LS9 0DU. This is a frontline opportunity where you will be responsible for delivering and collecting shipments, ensuring every customer interaction exemplifies DHL's dedication to quality and service. You will independently manage your route, meet critical deadlines, and represent DHL with professionalism and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries and collections according to customer expectations and time-sensitive schedules.
• Serve as a professional representative of DHL, consistently providing high-quality customer service.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and identify ways to support business growth.
• Maintain a positive, proactive, and customer-oriented approach.
• Plan and prioritize daily routes to ensure timely completion of deliveries and collections.
• Adapt to route changes and operational requirements as necessary.
• Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and service commitments.
• Maintain accuracy, organization, and attention to detail throughout tasks.
• Perform vehicle safety checks and handle loading, unloading, and transportation of shipments in compliance with safety regulations.
• Log working and driving hours accurately in accordance with regulations.
• Comply with DHL policies, procedures, and security standards at all times.
• Handle shipments of various sizes and weights following manual handling guidelines.
• Ensure all required documentation and data entry tasks are completed precisely.

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience in customer-facing roles or delivery positions; multi-drop delivery experience is advantageous.
• Strong skills in route planning and good geographical awareness.
• Good problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the courier role.
• Possession of a full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to obtain or hold a digital tachograph card.

Additional Information

• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:15 to 17:45.
• Contract Type: Permanent.
