Billing Engineer

Role Overview

This role demands a proactive Billing Engineer to provide direct commercial execution support for a luxury residential project in Anjuna, North Goa. The position requires managing billing accuracy, quantity verification, estimates, BOQs, contractor billing, and ERP-driven commercial operations under the supervision of the Billing Head.

Applicants must be comfortable working under pressure, coordinating intensively with site teams and contractors, ensuring flawless commercial documentation, and timely completion of billing-related tasks.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Support contractor and labour contractor billing processes, ensuring precise quantity verification against executed site work and approved BOQs.
• Prepare running bills, final bills, and variation statements, maintaining accurate measurement and billing records.
• Assist with BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, project estimates, and develop comparison sheets for contractors and vendors.
• Track and process work orders through ERP systems, conduct elementary rate analysis, and manage commercial comparisons and variations.
• Coordinate actively with Billing Head, project managers, procurement, accounts, contractors, and site teams to chase pending approvals, measurements, and bill submissions.
• Maintain comprehensive billing trackers, reconciliation documents, MIS reports, and ensure proper filing of all commercial records.
• Utilize ERP for billing, work order management, quantity tracking, and commercial documentation.
• Generate detailed daily, weekly, and monthly billing reports using MS Excel and update commercial trackers reflecting project billing status.
• Support management during audits and commercial reviews and track project costs and billing package-wise.
• Monitor material and quantity reconciliations and assist in controlling commercial leakages and billing discrepancies, adhering to approved formats and procedures.

Candidate Profile

• 6 to 8 years of experience in billing and commercial functions within construction projects.
• Prior exposure to luxury residential, high-rise, hospitality, or commercial projects.
• Thorough understanding of contractor and labour billing, BOQs, quantity verification, estimation, work orders, and rate analysis.
• Strong coordination skills with site teams and contractors, complemented by a detail-oriented, proactive, and commercially minded approach.
• Comfortable working under strict deadlines with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Required Skills & Tools

• Expertise in contractor and labour billing practices, BOQ management, and quantity verification.
• Basal knowledge of estimation, rate analysis, and preparation of comparison sheets.
• Competency in ERP systems for billing and commercial operations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for detailed reporting.
• Professional email writing and reporting abilities.
• Capability to read drawings and verify executed quantities with accuracy.
