About the Team
The Speech team is dedicated to advancing content understanding, interaction, and creation through speech and audio technologies across TikTok and related platforms. The team conducts pioneering research in speech and audio processing, music analysis, natural language comprehension, and multimodal deep learning. Their work aims to integrate innovative solutions into diverse TikTok products to enrich user experience globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support full-duplex voice interaction technology for real-world applications, driving innovation in voice interaction research.
- Implement and enhance speech recognition technologies across various business use cases both internally and externally, striving for continuous performance improvements.
- Construct core audio understanding technology systems, emphasizing state-of-the-art algorithm research and performance in the audio domain.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines preferred.
- Knowledgeable in speech recognition, audio analysis, and voice interaction algorithms with practical experience optimizing models using large-scale datasets.
- Strong comprehension and hands-on experience with deep learning and large language models (LLM), proficient with frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Excellent programming skills in C++ and Python, comfortable developing within a Linux environment.
- Capable of working autonomously while fostering effective collaboration and good interpersonal relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Authored papers in top international conferences or leading journals like ICASSP, Interspeech, ASRU, IEEE/ACM Transactions.
- Achieved top rankings in speech or machine learning competitions, or programming contest awards such as ACM, NOI, IOI, or TopCoder.
- Contributed to significant open-source projects in relevant technical areas.
- Excellent communication abilities, a strong sense of ownership, and organizational skills, combined with optimism and self-reflection.
