Underground Nipper

Role Overview

Join Gold Fields as an Underground Nipper and engage in essential underground support work that ensures safe and smooth mining operations at the Agnew gold mine. This physical and dynamic job involves assisting underground production and development teams, offering a solid stepping stone towards operating roles underground.

Work Schedule and Location

• FIFO from Perth, Western Australia
• 8 days on/6 days off or 7 nights on/7 nights off rotating roster

Key Responsibilities

• Assist underground crews by transporting equipment, removing waste, supporting ground operations, and other general duties
• Provide off-siding support for Jumbo operators including bolting, meshing, heading setup, and service tasks
• Complete pre-start inspections, actively report hazards, and maintain excellent housekeeping standards
• Ensure fitness for duty on all scheduled shifts and contribute to a strong safety culture

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience working underground as a Nipper or Truck Driver
• Physically fit and capable of handling demanding work environments
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to regulatory compliance
• Team-oriented with responsibility and effective communication skills
• Valid driver's license and current certifications for Dangerous Goods Security and Working at Heights
• Ability to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance
