Store Driver

Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable Store Driver to pick up, stage, and deliver automotive parts safely to professional customers. This role involves managing returns, distributing sales flyers, collecting payments, and supporting sales efforts. Additionally, maintaining store upkeep and inventory knowledge is essential.

Key Duties

• Pick, stage, and deliver parts securely to professional customers
• Collect returns and core parts
• Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current deals and loyalty programs
• Collect payments from credit accounts daily
• Establish and maintain customer relationships, sharing insights gathered during deliveries
• Support upselling and cross-selling to boost transaction values
• Keep store areas clean including floors, bathrooms, displays, and parking lot
• Perform general stocking tasks such as truck stock, back stock, and cycle counts
• Stay informed on inventory and new arrivals to assist customers
• Engage with walk-in customers to recommend suitable parts and services
• Execute additional responsibilities as needed

Essential Competencies

• Proficient in English communication both spoken and written; Spanish is a bonus
• Ability to understand and interpret safety guidelines, operating procedures, parts catalogs, and manuals
• Basic math skills for calculations involving whole numbers and fractions
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting sales
• Willingness to learn about new products and sales strategies

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in automotive parts is advantageous.

Education & Licensing

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record mandatory

Physical Requirements

This job requires frequent walking or standing, good communication abilities, manual dexterity, and the physical capability to lift/move items weighing up to 50 pounds often and up to 100 pounds occasionally (with assistance). Visual acuity for detailed tasks is necessary.

Work Environment

The work primarily occurs indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to weather during tasks such as installations. Some risk factors include moving machinery parts, elevated positions, chemicals, electrical hazards, explosives, and vibrations. Noise levels are generally moderate.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting wages range from 17.60 to 18.85 CAD per hour, depending on location, experience, education, and skills.
