Senior Software Engineer – Java

We are looking for a highly proficient Senior Software Engineer specialized in Java and Azure to join our team. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain regular updates on project status and task progress using JIRA.
• Effectively debug and solve intricate technical problems.
• Create and deploy scalable Java-based applications and microservices architectures.
• Document designs comprehensively to guide teams and stakeholders.
• Provide recommendations for software improvements and implement best practices.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance solutions and personal expertise.
• Efficiently manage full software release cycles from development through deployment.

Candidate Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of practical experience in Java development, including open-source frameworks like Spring and multithreading programming, along with additional experience in Go Lang.
• Proficient in designing and integrating REST/SOAP APIs and working with binary data using frameworks such as Thrift or gRPC.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and both core and enterprise design patterns.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in architecting and handling high-scale microservices and distributed systems.
• Expertise with resilience strategies like throttling, circuit breakers, bulkheading, CPU/memory profiling, and effective error management.
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, Splunk, or Graphite, and adeptness in using dashboards and logs for troubleshooting.
• Experience in version control using GIT; familiarity with monorepos is advantageous.
• Demonstrated strong communication capabilities and teamwork; fluent English proficiency is mandatory.

Preferred Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Java resource optimization, including memory management and caching mechanisms.
• Strong competency in diagnosing production-level problems and conducting root cause analyses.
• Advanced understanding of Java multithreading and microservices design patterns.
• Expertise in Java design best practices and pattern implementation.
• Familiarity with build and deployment tools like Maven, Jenkins, GITLab, or GitHub.
• Understanding security frameworks covering authentication, authorization, SSL protocols, web service proxies, and secure token exchanges.
