Senior Cost Estimating Engineer

Job Overview

This role is responsible for independently managing cost estimation and providing cost-related advice in the execution and development of diverse projects within the refinery domain, including capital, production, maintenance, HSE, and refinery shutdown operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently prepare cost estimates for a variety of projects such as capital expenditures, production enhancements, maintenance, HSE initiatives, and refinery shutdowns.
• Perform cost estimation specifically for internal plant modifications aimed at optimizing refinery processes, increasing production efficiency, and meeting HSE standards.

Required Experience and Skills

• At least 12 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, focusing on cost estimation, contractor engagement, project planning, and cost management.
• Strong command of both spoken and written English, with excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; demonstrated leadership, motivational abilities, and effective problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Process Engineering from a globally accredited university.
• Possession of professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or AACE certified cost engineer would be advantageous.
