Job Overview
Penspen is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Engineer to join the team based in Khafji, Saudi Arabia. This role involves managing engineering and construction contracts specifically for oil and gas projects, ensuring full compliance with contractual agreements.
Role Responsibilities
The Senior Contracts Engineer will be responsible for overseeing contract adherence by contractors, handling claims related to project costs disputes, and administering contracts effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess one of the following qualification and experience combinations:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Administration, Business, or a closely related discipline with a minimum of twelve years’ experience in project contract administration including procurement, vendor relations, and contract drafting. Within this period, at least ten years must be specific to contract-related tasks in major Oil and Gas or Petrochemical projects.
- Alternatively, candidates holding a Diploma or equivalent qualification coupled with a recognized Contract Management certificate should have at least fourteen years of experience in project management functions including contract administration and procurement, with ten years dedicated to contract activities in large Oil and Gas or Petrochemical projects.
Strong familiarity with different contract types, strategies, claims management, cause analysis, and preventive measures is essential. Experience working on ARAMCO projects is highly preferred.
