Role Summary
This Senior Consultant role involves spearheading the design, implementation, and delivery of comprehensive data platform and business intelligence (BI) solutions for sizable projects. It requires close collaboration with client stakeholders, internal consultants, practice leaders, and project managers, with a focus on excellent communication and presentation capabilities for diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with client business users to identify consulting opportunities and gather requirements through facilitated workshops.
- Contribute to the architectural design, development, and deployment of modern data and insight platforms utilizing the latest technologies.
- Provide strategic guidance on data management and integration to clients.
- Architect data models including relational and dimensional models tailored to various data domains and industries.
- Design and implement AI-driven solutions for functions such as data migration, modeling, application modernization, and data warehouse migrations.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization on new or existing data platforms and insight solutions.
- Oversee development lifecycles using source code management tools, incorporating AI modernization approaches.
- Create customized self-service analytics solutions with Power BI, including expertise in diverse deployment strategies.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, deliver end-user training, and facilitate knowledge transfer.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and consultation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and building modern data platforms, particularly in Enterprise Data Warehouse migration.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Snowflake (dataflows, pipelines, Cortex/Coco) or Databricks (workflows, lakehouse flows, Autoloader), and proficiency with tools like dbt, Azure/Fabric Data Factory, Coalesce, and Fivetran or Matillion.
- Proficient in Python programming.
- Skilled in cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
- Expertise in data platform design, implementation, configuration, and management focusing on performance and cost (e.g., Fabric, Snowflake).
- Advanced capabilities with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, and DAX semantic data modeling.
- Experience using DevOps practices with CI/CD pipelines, Git integration, and deployment automations.
Certifications and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Certifications including SnowPro and Coalesce or Microsoft Azure/Fabric certified data engineer.
- At least 7 years of experience designing and implementing Enterprise Data Warehouses.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in ETL architecture and design.
- Over 7 years of experience in data modeling (star and snowflake schema).
- At least 5 years of experience in semantic layer development.
- Minimum 5 years working extensively with Power BI.
